Practical information:

The courses are free of charge
The courses, including accommodation and meals are free of charge.

Travel refund
There will be a deductible fee for travel at 600 NOK. We cover costs between 600 and 2000 NOK, in other words 1400 NOK, for the Summer Course and costs between 600 and 3000 NOK for the chamber courses.

It is assumed that the trip is either from a study or home location and that the travel time is related to the course period.

ECTS Credits
Participants in the Norwegian National Youth Orchestra can receive ECTS credit from the Norwegian Academy of Music. It is given 2 credits for each of the programs in the summer, and 2 credits for each of the chamber courses. A total of 10 credits granted to students who have been involved in all this seasons program.

Insurance
All participants are responsible for their own travel and instrument insurance. Ungdomssymfonikerne will only insure instruments borrowed from the Norwegian Academy of Music.

Leave
Leave is only granted by application in writing to the administration of Ungdomssymfonikerne. Applicants who pull out after signing the contract, can be held responsible for the costs resulting from this, depending on cause of breach of contract. In case of illness, you need to provide a sick note from a doctor.

Restrictions
Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic there might be changes in the form and content of the courses, even shortly before the courses starts. The Norwegian National Youth Orchestra follows the authorities’ regulations and guidelines on infection control and wants to create a safe course for everyone.
